During my internship at Toro, I was asked to create some prototype cover designs for service manuals. Creating these covers allowed me to expand my Photoshop and InDesign skills. The main challenges I encountered were uncertainty about expectations, and not having used Photoshop in 10 years.
I overcame the uncertainty about expectations by reviewing previous designs, and creating designs that were thematically similar, and adding my personal flair. Specifically, I used the same color palette and varied the text.
I offset my unfamiliarity with the most recent version of Photoshop by using online tutorials to get me back up to speed. I believe this content demonstrates my ability to learn quickly, and to adapt to unfamiliar tasks.
